D&A Ultrasurg II
Ultrasound innovation in ENT
D&A Ultrasurg II is an ultrasound device that performs shrinkage and tissue incision through powerful oscillation of the instruments with minimal thermal damage. This is achieved using mechanical energy which creates the cavitation phenomenon to the tissue cells, offering a clear surgical field in which to operate without smoke or scent. The patient incurs minimal pain during the operation and enjoys extremely fast healing.
High standard manufacturing
DIAMANT is committed to using the best materials from European suppliers with the highest quality standards in order to assemble and manufacture its products. Our premiere device, D&A Ultrasurg II is the next evolution of ultrasound technology that offers top quality and excellent user-friendly menu. It is compliant with the latest ROHS2 directive and has successfully obtained the CE certification.
D&A Ultrasurg II features a touch screen which displays the instrument options for the chosen operation. The menu also includes the intensity value that can be adjusted any time during the operation in a clear and comprehensive graphical user interface.
Precision Designed Equipment
The transducer probe is the main tool surgeons use to operate by adjusting the instruments. It has ergonomic design with spatially proportionate dimensions and weight, offering excellent handling for precise surgical movements to the incision of the tissue. It is composed of a specialized aluminum alloy so there is no temperature inconvenience for the operator.
Highly Effective and Reusable Parts
All instruments are made of special titanium alloy, designated for surgical operations
Multiple times usage
Outstanding penetration capabilities due to powerful mechanical oscillation
Precision in operative treatment
Desirable results in minimum operative time
Applications
-
Removal of cartilaginous part of
a nasal spur of the septum -
Reduction of enlarged/hypertrophied
inferior nasal turbinate -
Treatment of chronic recurrent tonsillitis
Reduction of massive tonsils -
Recurrent cryptogenic tonsillitis
and tonsillolith formation - Ultrasound-assisted surgery for snoring and OSA
Removal of cartilaginous part of
a nasal spur of the septum
One of the rarest operations is now possible under local anesthesia, using the ultrasound method of the D&A Ultrasurg II and the combination of instruments US-E and US-C. It is easily performed with turbinate surgery in an office setting without pack or sutures with the benefit of avoiding formal septoplasty.
Reduction of enlarged/hypertrophied
inferior nasal turbinate
Ultrasurg II can reduce efficiently in the best possible way under local anesthesia, the enlarged inferior nasal turbinate by using instrument US-C. The method of use is by penetrating and withdrawing the US-C instrument into the nasal turbinate submucosally.
The basic advantages of the therapy are:
- Intact surface of the organ without functional injuries
- Preservation of the physiological functions of the turbinates.
- Subsequent shrinkage of the vascular net leads to reduced blood flow in the area.
- Presence of collagen tissue growth shows permanence of the resulting alteration
- Partial destruction of glands can lead to the reduction of watery secretions in pathological situations
- Clear surgical field to operate
Treatment of chronic recurrent tonsillitis / Reduction of massive tonsils
The reduction of massive tonsils or the treatment of chronic recurrent tonsillitis can be performed with Ultrasurg II in a safe medical office procedure and is very useful in Obstructive Sleep Apnea with immediate visible results.
Under local anesthesia, using instrument US-D, the surgeon penetrates the tonsils and slowly withdraws the tool. The bloodless operation lasts only a few minutes and the patient can return to normal activity within 1-2 days.
The basic advantages of the therapy are:
- Avoidance of general anesthesia
- Bloodless procedure during or post-operatively
- Speedy return to normal activities
- Useful in Obstructive Sleep Apnea
- Safe medical office procedure
- Clear surgical field to operate
Recurrent cryptogenic tonsillitis and tonsillolith formation
Ultrasurg II offers one of the best and fastest treatment methods for tonsil crypts. During a bloodless, local anesthesia procedure of just a few minutes, the patient can avoid conventional tonsillectomy and return to normal activity within 1-2 days.
The specialized instrument US-D penetrates the crypts and upon withdrawal, all epithelium and pathological residues are removed due to the ultrasound action. The intentional injure of the membrane of the crypt results in the formation of connective scar tissue that seals the crypt.
- Avoidance of general anesthesia
- Bloodless procedure during or post-operatively
- Speedy return to normal activities
- Safe medical office procedure
- No tonsillectomy
- Clear surgical field to operate
Ultrasound-assisted surgery for snoring and OSA
Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea can be annoying but most important it can cause restless sleep and fatigue for the rest of the day.
Ultrasurg II with the combination of instruments US-E and US-C performs this surgery with local anesthesia. US-E is used to cut the uvula in an easy and bloodless procedure.
At a later stage, US-C instrument is used to penetrate the soft palate submucosally into 5-6 points in a very easy and bloodlessly way.
The soft palate retreats offering a greater air flow.
- Local Anesthesia
- Bloodless procedure
- Easy to perform
- Clear surgical field to operate
